Just wrapped up the “Space Ducks” EP for Daniel Johnston. Some of the best stuff I’ve EVER worked on. The stuff is ill. The EP will be released in conjunction with Brooklyn Vegan as an app (the future, huh) during SXSW and as a full length soon after. Daniel’s songs were amazing and were a blast to work on. Thanks to Sam Patlove, James Stevens and EAR Studio, my brothers John Speice, Beto Martinez, Greg Gonzalez, my neighbor Peter Stopschinski, Rob Halverson and Alex Maas for awesome help and contributions. Where to now? Wrapping up a collaboration with Adrian Younge to be released on 12″ vinyl for Record Store Day. Adrian released one of my favorite albums of 2011, the dusted, twisted and moody soul masterpiece “Something About April” so you know I’m stoked. Stay tuned….
